Historical Marker Placed at SMS for its time as SHS

In conjunction with Delaware Public Archives and Representative Short's Office a historical marker was placed at Seaford Middle School today recognizing the school for its time as Seaford High School. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no formal dedication ceremony was able to be held. A formal dedication is being planned for the Spring of 2021.

SHS Graduation for the Class of 2020

Seaford High School's Commencement for the Class of 2020 will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 and Wednesday, June 24, 2020. The graduation ceremony will take place both nights at Bob Dowd Stadium beginning at 6:00. This is a ticketed event and all social distancing requirements are in place. You will be able to watch the graduation live on the SSD Facebook page.

SHS Wellness Center Closing for the Summer

After June 12th, The Seaford High Wellness Center will be closed for the summer. Thank you for allowing us to support our members through the 2019-2020 school year. Please continue to check the Seaford High School website for information on the summer schedule which at this time is planned to start August 6th. Throughout the summer if your student has any physical health needs please schedule an appointment with your primary healthcare provider or visit Nanticoke Immediate Care located in the Nanticoke Health Pavilion at 100 Rawlins Drive Seaford, DE. For mental health needs and support the following are resources that can offer services and information.

SHS Graduation Farewell Parade

Class of 2020 Drive-thru Senior Farewell Parade on
Thursday, June 11th at 3pm @ the Jay’s Nest has been postponed to June 18th at 3:00 due to the weather. Our drive-thru line will start at the library at the intersection of 600 N Market Street Ext./Ross Station Road and exit on Virginia). We would like cars in place by 2:45pm.
Come out see your teachers and staff. We encourage you to decorate your car and make colorful signs!

SHS Updated Graduation Plan

In conjunction with Governor Carney entering Delaware into Phase I and the Department of Education's graduation guidelines, Seaford High School has updated its plan for graduation of the Class of 2020. The plan is attached and will be mailed to every member of the senior class.

SSD Recognizing 2019-20 Retirees

Martini Wise-Cannon was assigned the role of a para-educator but in retrospect she was a “mom away” from home for our students and for that they will truly miss her.
