Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Seaford School District Transportation Department would like to share a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth start to the 2026–2027 school year.
Bus Address Changes
If your child will have a different bus address for the upcoming school year, please contact your child's school as soon as possible.
To help ensure your child is assigned to a bus before the first day of school, all new transportation addresses or address changes must be entered into the district's student information system by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Transportation Requests Received August 10 – August 27, 2026
Students who enroll in the district or request new or changed transportation between Monday, August 10, 2026, and Thursday, August 27, 2026, will not have bus transportation available during the first week of school.
Parents or guardians will be responsible for transporting their student during that time.
Bus service for these students will begin on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Transportation Requests Received August 28 – September 3, 2026
Students who enroll in the district or request new or changed transportation between Friday, August 28, 2026, and Thursday, September 3, 2026, will not have bus transportation available during the second week of school.
Parents or guardians will be responsible for transporting their student during that time.
Bus service for these students will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Car Riders
If your child will be a car rider for the 2026–2027 school year and will not be riding the bus, please notify your child's school. Keeping this information up to date helps the Transportation Department maintain accurate bus assignments and transportation records.
After September 8, 2026
Beginning September 8, 2026, all new student enrollments and transportation changes should continue to be submitted through your child's school. Transportation requests will be processed as quickly as possible once the information has been entered and received by the Transportation Department.
